The client
Who Amigos Street Tacos are
Amigos Street Tacos brings Mexico City style street food to Metro Detroit, with signature birria tacos, al pastor and carne asada burritos. It runs four locations: two in Sterling Heights, one in St. Clair Shores and one in Southgate.
Guests eat in, carry out or order delivery online without signing up, and the team offers vegetarian and halal options on request. Catering trays cover birthday parties, office events and backyard gatherings.

The brief
The challenge
Taco content is everywhere on Instagram, so the feed needed to show what makes these tacos different: the birria, the consommé and the generous fillings, rather than generic food shots.
With four shops and a catering line, the account also had to answer practical questions quickly: which location is closest, are there halal options, and how do you order a tray for 30 people.
Our approach
How we planned it
Four decisions shaped the work for Amigos Street Tacos. Each one answers part of the brief.
-
01
Signature dishes as the hero
A recurring birria series and close-up dip shots that make the signature dish the face of the brand.
-
02
Answers in Story highlights
Highlights for Locations, Halal and Veggie, Catering and Order, so new followers find the answer without sending a message.
-
03
Catering by occasion
Posts built around real occasions such as game day, office lunch and graduation parties, each ending with how to order a tray by phone.
-
04
Local first
Location tags, local hashtags and Google Business Profile updates so the same content helps people searching for tacos near them.
The content system
A week from the content calendar
Every post belongs to a pillar, every pillar has a job, and the week is planned before anything is filmed. This is a sample planning week for Amigos Street Tacos.

What this project teaches
- 1
A signature dish gives a busy category like tacos a face people remember.
- 2
Story highlights are a restaurant's FAQ: answer the common questions once and point to them.
- 3
Catering sells better through real occasions than through a price list.
