Book services, from first draft to first sale
Publishing, editing, cover design, formatting, marketing, author websites and printing. Take the one piece you are missing, or hand us the whole book.
Book services
Seven services, one team, one book
Most authors end up managing four separate freelancers, three sets of file specs and one very confusing upload screen. Nobody owns the whole thing, so the cover fights the formatting and the launch happens by accident.
We do all seven parts, so they line up. The cover is built to the page count the typesetter produced. The listing keywords match the ads. The launch is planned before the book is finished. Take one service or all of them, priced per service either way.
01 / 07
Book Publishing
We take a finished manuscript and turn it into a book that is listed, distributed and buyable. Set up properly once, so it keeps selling without you re-uploading files every few months.
- Route advice first: self publishing, hybrid, or a traditional submission
- ISBN allocation, imprint setup and copyright registration
- Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and Apple Books account and title setup
- Metadata, BISAC categories and keyword research so the book is findable
- Distribution to ebook, print, library and retail channels
- Pricing and royalty setup for every territory you sell in
Best for authors with a finished manuscript who want it published properly rather than uploaded and forgotten.
02 / 07
Book Editing
Four levels of edit, from big structural work down to the final proofread. You pick the depth, and we tell you honestly which one the manuscript actually needs before you pay for it.
- Developmental editing for structure, pacing and argument
- Line editing for voice, rhythm and clarity
- Copy editing for grammar, consistency and house style
- Proofreading on the final typeset pages, not the raw file
- Fact checking and citation review for non fiction
- A written editorial report plus a call to walk through it
Best for anyone who has read their own draft so many times they can no longer see it.
03 / 07
Cover Design
Covers designed for the shelf they will actually sit on, which is a 200 pixel Amazon thumbnail. Genre signals first, typography second, everything else after that.
- Genre and competitor research before a single concept is drawn
- Three original cover concepts, then two rounds of revision
- Front cover, spine and back cover built as one print wrap
- Wrap sized to your exact page count, paper stock and trim
- Ebook cover tested at real thumbnail size before sign off
- Three dimensional mockups and social assets for launch
Best for authors whose manuscript is strong but whose cover is quietly costing them the click.
04 / 07
Book Formatting
Interior layout that reads well on paper and reflows correctly on a Kindle. Those are two different jobs, so we deliver them as two properly built files rather than one export.
- Print interior typeset with correct front and back matter
- Chapter openers, running heads, folios and page numbering
- Print ready PDF built to trim size, bleed and gutter spec
- Reflowable EPUB with a working table of contents and navigation
- Images, tables, footnotes and endnotes handled in both formats
- Validated against KDP and IngramSpark rules before upload
Best for authors who have had a file rejected, or seen their paperback margins swallow the text.
05 / 07
Book Marketing
A launch is a campaign, not a day. We plan the runway, run the ads and keep the book selling long after launch week is over, reporting on royalties rather than impressions.
- Launch plan with a pre order runway and a release week schedule
- Amazon Ads and Meta Ads managed against royalty earned, not clicks
- Amazon listing copy, A plus content and category placement
- Review generation through advance reader copies and street teams
- Author publicity: podcasts, features, guest posts and speaking
- Email list building and a nurture sequence that keeps converting
Best for published authors whose sales went quiet after the first month.
06 / 07
Author Website
Your own platform, so your readers are not rented from a retailer. A fast author site with a book page, an email list and a direct way to buy from you.
- Custom author site design, mobile first and built for speed
- Book landing pages with buy links to every retailer you list on
- Email capture with a reader magnet and an automated welcome series
- Blog, events, speaking and press kit pages
- SEO setup so your name and your title both rank
- Hosting, security, backups and ongoing maintenance
Best for authors building a body of work rather than selling a single title.
07 / 07
Book Printing
Physical copies you are happy to hand to someone. Print on demand for reach and zero stock risk, or an offset run when you need volume at a sane unit cost.
- Print on demand setup through Amazon KDP and IngramSpark
- Offset print runs for bulk, events and retail orders
- Paperback, hardcover, dust jacket and special finish options
- Paper stock, trim size and binding advice for your genre
- A physical proof copy checked and approved before any run
- Warehousing and fulfilment options for direct sales
Best for authors who speak, sell direct, or need copies in hand for a launch.
How it is structured
Why us
A publisher process, without giving up your book
You get the discipline of a traditional house and keep the control, the rights and the margin of publishing it yourself.
One Point of Contact
One project lead across all seven services, instead of four freelancers blaming each other.
Your Book Stays Yours
Full copyright, full royalties, accounts in your name. We charge a fee, not a share.
Genre Led Decisions
Covers, categories and pricing set by what already sells in your genre, not by taste.
Fixed Scope, Fixed Quote
A written price per service before we start. No hourly meter, no scope creep invoice.
Marketing From Day One
Keywords, categories and the launch plan are decided while the book is still in edit.
Built By A Growth Agency
The same team that runs paid media and SEO runs your launch, so it is measured properly.
How it runs
From manuscript to on sale
Read
We read a sample, agree the level of edit and quote each service in writing.
Build
Editing, cover and interior run to one schedule, so the files actually match.
Publish
Accounts, metadata, proofs and distribution set up in your name and checked.
Sell
The launch runs, ads go live, and we report on royalties earned month by month.
Go deeper
Beyond a single title
Running an imprint, a series or a back catalogue rather than one book? These pages cover the strategic side, and the services authors usually ask for next.
Publishing Programme
The wider programme behind the seven services above, for authors and organisations publishing at scale.
Grow The Author Business
A book is usually the front door to something else. These are the services authors ask for next.
Questions, answered
Book service FAQs
Yes. Every service on this page is sold on its own. Most authors come to us for the one piece they cannot do themselves, usually the cover or the formatting, and add more later only if they want to.
No. You keep full copyright and one hundred percent of your royalties. We charge a fee for the work agreed up front. Retailer accounts are set up in your name, so the book and its earnings stay yours even if you never work with us again.
For a typical non fiction manuscript, plan on eight to sixteen weeks from first edit to a book on sale. Editing is the variable: a developmental edit and rewrite can take longer than everything else combined. Cover, formatting and publishing setup usually run four to six weeks together.
We edit, shape and structure what you have written, and we can work from your transcripts, notes or interviews. If you need someone to write it from scratch with you, say so on the call and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right team for that project.
It depends on why you are publishing. If the book is a credibility asset for a business, self publishing gives you speed, control and far better margins. If a major imprint deal is the goal, we help you build the platform and the proposal instead. You get a straight answer before you commit to either.
It depends on word count, the level of edit and how much of the list you need. We quote a fixed price per service after reading a sample of the manuscript, so there is no hourly meter and no surprise invoice at the end.
Tell us where your book is stuck
Send us the manuscript, the cover or just the idea. We will read it, tell you what it actually needs and quote only that.
