Discovery and site planning
We map your services, Sydney service areas and customer questions into a clear structure before any design starts.
Web Design in Sydney
For many Sydney customers, your website is the first thing they check before they call. We build fast, clear sites that answer their questions and make it easy to get in touch.
A senior strategist will review your details and reply within one business day.
Web Design in Sydney
In a city with this much choice, people judge quickly. A slow site, a confusing menu or a missing phone number sends them straight back to Google and on to a competitor. Most Sydney searches happen on mobile, often on the move, so your site has to load fast and make the next step obvious, even on a small screen.
We design around your customers and your goals. For a trades business that might mean click-to-call buttons, service area pages and quote forms. For a restaurant, menus and bookings. For a CBD firm, clear service pages and proof of expertise. The platform might be WordPress, Shopify or something custom, chosen by what your team needs to update day to day, and SEO foundations go in from the start.
A senior strategist guides the project from plan to launch, with a kick-off in person in Sydney if you prefer. After launch, we track how visitors behave and keep refining the pages your enquiries depend on. AI tools help us test layouts and draft copy faster, but design decisions come from people who understand your market and the customers you want to reach.

Sites that convert
Sydney buyers often open three or four tabs before they choose. They weigh your site against rivals on speed, clarity, pricing signals and proof. Web design in Sydney therefore has to answer the obvious questions fast: what you do, where you work, why you are different and how to get started. Anything that slows that down sends the visitor to the next tab.
Each site is planned from customer questions and search data rather than a theme. Service pages are built to rank, project pages show real work, and forms ask only what you need to respond. WordPress suits most service firms, Shopify handles product brands from Paddington boutiques to online stores, and custom builds cover booking engines, portals or integrations an off-the-shelf platform cannot.
Local approach
Sydney customers want to know you cover their area before they call. We make your service regions clear, from the North Shore to the Sutherland Shire, through dedicated pages and simple coverage information. That reassures visitors and supports your local search visibility at the same time.
Sydney has plenty of polished competitor websites. Looking good is the minimum. We focus on what makes you the better choice, such as response times, specialist skills, guarantees or real project photos, and place it where visitors see it in the first few seconds.
Hospitality sites need menus and bookings that work on mobile. Tradies need click-to-call buttons and a quick quote form. Professional firms need clear expertise and trust signals. Online retailers need fast checkout. We design around how your type of business actually wins customers in this city.
How we compare
| Area | Viral Advice Media | A typical Sydney agency |
|---|---|---|
| Project lead | A senior strategist guides scope, structure and launch, working alongside designers and developers. | A designer works from a brief with little input on search or conversion. |
| Starting point | Customer questions, search demand and competitor sites in your Sydney category. | A ready-made look chosen up front, then words fitted around it. |
| SEO at launch | Redirect maps, page structure and schema handled before go-live to protect existing rankings. | SEO treated as a separate job once the site is live. |
| Mobile performance | Tested on real mid-range phones, with speed budgets for every key template. | Checked in a desktop browser shrunk to phone width. |
| After launch | Conversion data reviewed and key pages improved through ongoing CRO work. | Handover at launch, with any changes quoted as new work. |
| Ownership | Site, domain, hosting and content held in your name, or handed over to you at launch. | Hosting or licences sometimes tied to the agency. |
Built for every corner
A Sydney website often has to speak to very different parts of the city at once. A builder working across the Hills and the Northern Beaches, or a clinic group with rooms in Chatswood and Liverpool, needs pages that reflect each area honestly. We design a location template that holds genuine local detail, team photos and directions, not thin copies that Google ignores.
Plenty of visits arrive from phones on trains, buses and ferries, so pages are kept light, images are compressed properly and testing happens on mid-range devices, not just new flagships. Accessibility is built in from the start, with readable contrast, clear headings and forms that work with screen readers, because a site that shuts out visitors also shuts out customers.
What to expect
Kick-off happens on a video call or in person in Sydney. We review your current site, analytics and competitors, then agree a sitemap, page priorities and a list of the content you will need to supply.
Wireframes become full designs for key templates such as the home page, a service page and a location page. Copy is drafted in parallel so design and words support each other, and everything is reviewed in shared previews.
Development happens on a staging site. Pages are tested across browsers and phones, forms and tracking are checked, and redirects from old URLs are mapped so search visibility carries over to the new site.
Once you approve the final build, we switch it on and run checks in Search Console and analytics. Early visitor behaviour then guides the first round of improvements to forms, calls to action and page layouts.

FAQ
Speak to a strategist. No sales script, just straight answers.
+61 7 3088 6947A focused business website usually needs several weeks between kick-off and go-live, depending on the number of pages, how ready your content is and how many feedback rounds you want. Larger ecommerce or custom builds take longer. Your proposal sets out a clear timeline and milestones so you know what happens when.
It can if handled carelessly, which is why we plan for it. We map your existing pages, keep what ranks, set up proper redirects and check everything after launch. Done properly, a redesign often improves rankings because the new site is faster and better structured.
Shopify suits businesses selling products online and wanting simple store management. WordPress is flexible for service businesses, content-heavy sites and custom features. For unusual requirements, a custom build may fit better. We recommend a platform based on how you work, not our preference.
Yes. Many clients like an in-person kick-off to talk through goals, competitors and content. The rest of the project runs smoothly online with shared previews and scheduled calls. We will arrange visits at the points where they genuinely help the build.
Yes. Once the project is paid for, the site, content and domain are yours. We set up hosting and accounts in your name or hand them over at launch, so you are never locked in and can make changes or move providers whenever you choose.
Yes. Multi-site businesses need a structure where each location has its own page, contact details and local proof, linked cleanly from a central services section. We plan that structure early, so adding a branch later, say in Parramatta or the Sutherland Shire, is a quick job rather than a rebuild.
We design and build with the WCAG guidelines in mind, covering colour contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text and form labels, and key templates are checked before launch. For organisations with formal obligations, such as government suppliers or health providers, a deeper accessibility review can be scoped into the project.
