Fits inside

Nothing you type here leaves your browser. Reading time assumes 225 words per minute, which is about average for web copy.

How long should it be

Word count is not a ranking factor. Long pages often rank well because thorough answers tend to be long, not because length itself helps. Padding a 400 word answer to 2,000 words makes it worse, and readers leave faster.

Match the intent. Someone searching for opening hours wants a sentence. Someone comparing agencies wants depth. Write to finish the job the reader came to do, then stop.

Sentence length is the readability lever that matters. Under about 20 words on average keeps business copy comfortable. If your average is up near 30, the writing is probably doing three jobs per sentence.

Front-load everything. Most people scan the first line of a paragraph and move on. Put the point first and the qualification after it.
